Your online business is not making the money that you thought it would. You paid all this money to build a website, but your not getting the visitors you need to earn any money. In order to be successful you need two things. A good email marketing program, and the second is traffic from the search engines.
Your email marketing is what we are going to cover today. While getting traffic from the search engines is important also, your email marketing can make or break your online business. So first things first, you need to come up with a plan of action to start building your opt in email list.
There are two ways to start building your opt in list. First you can use an online service that helps you build your list, or you can do it the old fashioned way and start building your list by yourself.
If you decide to use an online list building service, here are a few to stay away from. First stay away from ListDotCom. This is a program that claims to help you build your list, which it is set up to do, but they sell memberships for $197 to let everyone email 5000 people in there list every 2 days. This is great for the owner of the program, but it sucks for you. Anyone you refer into this service will be receiving emails from all the upgraded members, and there are loads of them. The people you refer could end up receiving hundreds of emails every day, which means your emails will get lost in the clutter.
Another program to steer clear of is List Joe. They say that they will help you build your list, but everyone you refer, receives emails from all the other members. This program is nothing but a credit based safelist. You earn credits for reading other peoples emails and clicking on the links, then you trade these credits in to email other members of the program. Of course they also have a upgraded membership status that they sell for $197. Makes you wonder, who would pay $200 to join a safelist?
If you want to use a list building service the only one I suggest and use myself is MyHugeList. You can join for free. You only receive 2 to 3 emails a day. And they help you build your list virally. Which means everyone you refer helps you build your list and everyone they refer helps you build your list and so on, 10 levels. So if everyone only refers 3 members each you would have over 250,000 people in your list by the 10th level. And because your upline can only consist of 10 people you receive very few emails. And when you only receive a couple emails a day, people will actually open and read them. To help you refer as many people as possible they let you bribe your referrals with free software that only members can download. When they join your list they can download free backlink building software.
Now if you would like to start emailing people immediately you should use a program called MoneyListPro. There memberships start at $3 and you can start emailing people as soon as you join. They also allow you to put your advertising banners and contextual text ads on there website.
All the above programs can be found in your favorite search engine.
If building your own list is what you think is best for you, you will need a few things if you want to start building your own list. First you will need something to bribe people with to get them to sign up for your list. You will need an auto responder, and you will also need your own website to host and give away your bribe product from.
That's it for today. Please try to understand that building an email list is essential in your online business success. If your not building a list you might as well give up now.
