So easy... yet so often screwed up.
Business Cards.
"Maestro, are you kidding me? Business cards are for cubicle-dwellers. I'm a wholesaler! Gimme something I can use!"
First rule: No excuses. The Maestro simply does not allow them.
Ok, let's get down to business here. Where to buy your cards and what to say on them.
You can get them locally, at a printing shop, or online. I lile to support local businesses, but you will pay more. The best card, which I talk about next, is the money business card, which you can get at ezsigns.net.
Success Tip 1
The "money" business card is straight... money. Leave it on tables, desks or right on the ground. And watch the people pick it up. You would, too. Trust me. Again, go to ezsigns.net to get them. Or, you can go to Google, and search, "money business card."
An absolutely huge mistake that I see so many make, is writing your business name on the front of the card. Listen, people in distress (that's who is going to be calling you) do not want to deal with Joe Schmoe's Investment Group. They want to deal with regular people, just like them, who understand what they are going through.
Success Tip 2
Your business card is a vital part of your marketing. Make it count!
I know, I know. Business cards flat out suck. You'll get no argument from me on that. However, every card you give, could mean thousands of dollars in profit. You doubt my veracity?
Let me show you exactly how it's done:
Order you cards. Order a lot of them.
Decide how many you are going to give out daily. My advice, 3 to 5. And yes, you're going to have to give them to strangers. Get over it.
Here's a tip: always give multiple cards to one person. And no, you can't use toward your daily goal. It's per person, not per card...
And here is the most important part of this entire article. If you remember nothing else, but this part, you will be fine. Always offer CASH for referrals. "Mr Schmoe, I'm a real estate investor and if you, or anyone you know, needs to sell their house fast, please let me know. Oh, and I pay $500 cash for referrals."
House-Flipping Tip 3
This tiny, but important, piece of action could make you a lot of money. Listen, laziness will kill your income. I don't care what industry you're in. But, especially in wholesaling. If you are a slacker with the small stuff, you will be a slacker with the big stuff, too. Don't make that mistake.
"But Maestro, I feel like a schmuck handing out cards to strangers. This sounds stupid. I want to focus my time on more important things. It's just not for me..."
Uh... nice attitude. Look, I can't change the way you think. But, I can sure as hell explain what your life will be like if you continue with this type of attitude. It'll be the exact same it is right now. How's that workin' out for you?
... and this isn't much of a sacrifice.
Listen, I know a lady who made $50 G'ssss from a business card once. Could you use an extra $50,000 this month?
